April Nauta Telfer School of Management Award

During each of his CO-OP work terms, Will Robertson has been able to exceed his employers’ expectations by applying his academic knowledge and his creativity to the task at hand. During his second work term, Will was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work at a company called Apption Software, a web start-up in the e-commerce industry, as a web marketing specialist. His role throughout his work term lead him to develop new marketing programs, pitching these marketing programs for approval, implementing campaigns and ultimately analyzing the results. Will exceeded initial expectations to such a degree that he was asked to return for a second work term. Will’s success doesn’t just stop with his work. Will was also the lucky winner of the TELFER Business Model Competition and later went on to finish second in the Wes Nicol Business Plan competition. On top of his regular workload at Apption Software, Will has participated in and organized the TELFER Business and Technology Conference for the Management Information Systems Association. In addition to being a skilled manager, Will currently holds a seat on the CO-OP Student Committee, helping his fellow CO-OP students. Will’s work ethic and determination are evidence of a truly inspired individual.
