The Natural Health Products Directorate (NHPD) of the Health Products and Food Branch of Health Canada is looking for a student who will support the Senior Research Analyst in the international regulatory cooperation program including: *researching and analyzing various types of data and information used to develop international cooperation strategies *preparing and reviewing a variety of documents (ex. research summaries, discussion papers, and presentations) *assisting in coordination of working group meetings as well as international visits and delegations *developing standard operating procedures for international work
The ideal student for this position will be a senior undergraduate or graduate student of business, applied economics, political science, public policy, law, or international relations.
The successful candidate will have: *A strong academic background; *a keen interest in international regulatory cooperation *Ability to carry out thoughtful research and analysis, provide options and defend them based on evidence and a clear vision of the public interest; *Ability to work independently and in a high performance team, as may be required; *Ability to plan and prioritize work; *A genuine interest in the role of natural health products in helping Canadians maintain and improve their health; *Ability to work in both official languages. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be: *In possession of superior written and oral communication skills; *Assertive, hard-working, discreet and tactful.
