Commerce

The Commerce program (without option) offers an enriched overview of the management field without requiring you to declare a specialization. It will give you an understanding of areas as wide-ranging as accounting, finance, marketing, manufacturing, human resource management, international management and computerized management systems.

With a Commerce diploma, you can launch your own career in project management, business, or inventory control management, or even move into management in the public, private or not-for-profit sector.

CO-OP placements are made in private firms, Crown corporations and federal ministries – most in the Ottawa area, although it is possible to find placements in the Toronto or Montreal areas as well. Employers are looking for interns who demonstrate leadership and team spirit, with proven skills in communications and project management and with presentation software such as PowerPoint.
