"As a CO-OP student I have accomplished a lot of things that I couldn’t do if I was just a regular student. My biggest accomplishment has been having experiences that were definitely rewarding. Whether I was working really hard or being given a lot of responsibility, those experiences are things that I can be proud of. On one of my work terms, I worked on a research paper, and I was able to use the research skills I learned in my program and develop them more with the help of my supervisor. CO-OP is a good opportunity to combine what I am learning in my classes with my experience. Students who don’t do CO-OP may have no idea what they will do after they graduate—CO-OP has brought me a lot of understanding that I wouldn’t have otherwise, and it has allowed me to have an idea of what I like and don’t like in terms of government work."
